What does the UX team do?

• Our main objective is improving the user experience of Argus, our in-house built platform for detecting and analysing security attacks. With more than 400 servers across the globe, we process over 55 billion security events daily.
• The UX team covers a wide range of skills and tasks:
• User research
• Interaction design
• Visual design
• Prototyping and testing
• Collaboration with development teams and other stakeholders
• The UX team is part of mnemonics engineering department, with responsibility to maintain and develop a set of applications, from ticket management, document handling, customer administration and provisioning systems, to analytical applications (real time event monitor, sample analysis, asset management).
• We also handle inquiries from our customers and security analysts, and gain insight and data into how our users actually use our systems.
• In our department you will be given trust and responsibility, and your voice will be heard in every decision made.
• Our summer projects are never just busy-work; all projects result in a product that is shipped to production or is used as a basis for providing value for our customers and security analysts.

Who are we looking for?

• You like to familiarise yourself with user challenges, and find solutions to improve their experience
• You are studying UX, design, technology, or a related field, and are in your third or fourth year of study
• You have good academic results
• You communicate well in both Norwegian and English
• You have a basic understanding of user-centered design (UCD) and usability principles
• You are familiar with methods for gathering user insights, such as interviews or testing
• You have experience with UX design tools, such as Figma or Adobe XD
• You have a good eye for detail and appreciate maintainable and scalable design systems

Practical information

• Your place of work will be at our headquarters located in central Oslo. 
• The internship lasts for nine weeks and is carried out by agreement in the period June-August, with three weeks of summer vacation included.
