DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer for our DevOps department in Oslo.
The DevOps department currently consists of 8 dedicated DevOps engineers and plays a central role in the interaction between MDR Engineering and MDR Operations, and is organizationally placed within the latter. mnemonic MDR delivers MDR services to the international market and holds market shares in, among others, the UK, the Netherlands, Switzerland, in addition to the Nordic countries.
The purpose of the DevOps department is to facilitate rapid and efficient development, both on-premises and in the cloud, and to act as a link between development and operations.

The DevOps department serves as a support function for MDR Engineering, as well as other developers at mnemonic. The team is responsible for central DevOps systems such as GitLab, Artifactory, Kubernetes, Rancher, Harvester, as well as tools that facilitate good DevOps processes.
As part of the DevOps team, you will work with:
Development and maintenance of shared setups for CI/CD pipelines in GitLab
Development of tools to simplify and improve CI/CD pipelines for all developers
Setup, operation, and configuration of DevOps-related systems, such as Artifactory, SDLC tools, and dependency scanning
Promotion of DevOps methodology and assistance in facilitating good DevOps practices in other teams
Setup and testing of internal Kubernetes infrastructure
Communication with other departments related to planning of new solutions, changes to existing solutions, and troubleshooting
What we are looking for:
We are looking for candidates who have/are:
Eager to learn and solution-oriented, and willing to step in to assist others
Good communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, networking, programming, or equivalent
A couple of years of professional experience. Personal projects during studies are also relevant
Experience using Git and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with practical problem solving using scripting languages such as Python and Bash
Experience with Linux systems and networking
Experience with Kubernetes and container technology in general
A strong interest in automation
An interest in the DevOps field
