System Administrator
We are looking for a System Administrator to join our Platform Operations department in Oslo.
The Platform Operations department currently consists of 11 dedicated employees and our primary responsibilities are the operation and maintenance of mnemonic’s Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service and its supporting systems. We also assisting with the implementation of our MDR solutions for customers. mnemonic delivers MDR services to the international market and holds market share in the UK, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Australia, in addition to the Nordic region.

In addition to operational responsibility for our proprietary MDR platform, the Platform Operations department is responsible for supporting systems including LogScale, OpenSearch, Kafka, Cassandra, MySQL/Galera and Logstash.
As part of the Platform Operations team, your responsibilities will include:
Participating in customer implementation projects, with a focus on log collection and the implementation of new log parsers
Taking part in the on-call rotation for third-line daytime support and out-of-hours support
Developing new automation tools
Communicating with other departments regarding the planning of new solutions, changes to existing solutions and troubleshooting
Taking overall system ownership of one or more of the products mentioned above
What we are looking for
We are looking for candidates who are:
Eager to learn and solution-oriented
Service-minded team players who are willing to contribute wherever needed
Able to work independently
Strong communicators with good collaboration skills
Fluent in Norwegian as well as in English
Holders of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, networking, software development, or a related field
Equipped with a couple of years of professional experience. Personal projects undertaken during studies are also considered relevant
Experienced in practical problem-solving using scripting languages such as Python and Bash
Experienced with Linux systems and networking
Preferably experienced with Kubernetes and container technologies
